It shall be the duty of the Senate Committee on Climate Change and Global Warming to investigate the issues involving global warming and climate change, including but not limited to carbon emissions, greenhouse gas emissions and renewable energies. The committee will explore viable solutions and other innovations that stimulate our economy, promote jobs, and protect our security and environment. The Committee may hold hearings, as needed, to investigate and gather information. The committee shall report, from time to time, with recommendations for legislative action based on their review or on the findings of the investigations. The committee shall have the authority to develop and report legislative proposals pertaining to global warming and climate change, which shall be referred to the Senate Committee on Ways and Means.
