Mr. Hinds, Ms. Comerford, Ms. Gobi, Messrs. Cyr, Humason and Welch, Ms. DiZoglio, Messrs. Lesser and Feeney move that the proposed new draft be amended by striking out section 21 and inserting in place thereof the following section:- “SECTION 21. (a) There shall be a special commission to study and make recommendations concerning the long-term fiscal health of rural school districts that are facing or may face declining student enrollment. The commission shall consist of: the house and senate chairs of the joint committee on education, who shall serve as co-chairs; 1 member who shall be appointed by the minority leader of the senate; 1 member who shall be appointed by the minority leade…
