Authorizing Deleading in Schools

Ms. Lovely, Mr. Moore, Ms. Comerford, Mr. Lesser, Ms. DiZoglio, Messrs. Welch, Eldridge, O'Connor, Feeney, Crighton, Tran and Tarr moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting after section 75 the following section:- “SECTION 75A. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, not more than $5,000,000 of funds deposited pursuant to chapter 273 of the acts of 2018 into the Water Pollution Abatement Revolving Fund, established in section 2L of chapter 29 of the General Laws, may be used for deleading projects, including grants, at early education facilities, childcare centers and public schools, prioritizing elementary schools.
