An Act authorizing the establishment of a mean tested senior citizen property tax exemption

Section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 5O the following section:- Section 5P. (a) In a city or town that accepts this section, there shall be a residential property tax exemption for real property for income and age qualified domiciliary homeowners as provided herein. For the purposes of this section, “parcel” shall mean a unit of real property as defined by the board of assessors under the deed for the property and shall include condominium units.
