Money from 287(g) agreements
Mr. Tarr moves that the proposed new text be amended by striking in lines 269-273 the following:- "provided further, that any payments made by the federal government to reimburse the department of correction for costs associated with executing responsibilities under an agreement described in this paragraph shall be transferred to and distributed by the office for refugees and immigrants to designated non-profit organizations to increase access to legal representation for immigrants and refugees in the commonwealth."
